3D Wire, International Animation, Video Games & New Media Market, opens the European transmedia & new media call for projects to participate in the 7th edition of 3D Wire, October 5-11th, in Segovia (Spain).
SPANISH ANIMATION & VIDEO GAMES CALL FOR PROJECTS
Only the projects developed by companies registered in Spain are allowed to submit a maximum of 3 titles. All animation techniques and formats (short films, feature films, animation series and videogames) are accepted, even the apps where animation has a notable presence.
From the projects received there will be a selection which it will be publised in the market catalogue. From these titles several projects will be selected to be presented by their authors during 3D Wire.
The deadline to do the submission for projects (and send the materials) is July 20th. There is not submission fee.
Apart from filling the entry form it is necessary to send the materials requested for each type of production to the e-mail: email@example.com
As well as being able to receive some recognitions part of the projects could be selected to receive business and creative counseling by international experts on animation and games and with different professional profiles (producers, investors, buyers, publishers, toy licenses, televisions, etc). This activity will take place October 8th.
The selected projects, for the catalogue or for the counseling they could send updated materials a posteriori for the screening booths.
EUROPEAN TRANSMEDIA CALL FOR PROJECTS
3D Wire has a unique view where animation, video game and new media create synergy merging in a single stronger industry sector. It understands that the development of these industry sectors involves new actors.
Furthermore, nowadays, the way we consume and share content is changing, being more interactive. So that projects are not anymore only animation or video game but a transmedia product; that also implies breakthrough technologies and new devices such as augmented reality, 3D printing, gamification, connected toys, wearable technology… This call for projects is focused on this kind of innovative projects.
The main aim of this call for projects is to encourage and facilitate European coproduction to reinforce European A/V sector capacity to operate transnationally. To foster European animation & games market, increase the visibility and circulation of EU projects and help to find new partners to finance, develop and create strong European IP transmedia projects.
Animation, games or new technology devices projects that can complete and enhance the transmedia experience can be submitted. New tech devices and projects have to be related to animation or video games.
In order to apply, the projects must be developed by European producers or in coproduction with European countries. They also have to be designed to be distributed in at least two different platforms.
The best European transmedia & new media projects will be published in the 3D Wire 2015 catalogue, which is annually distributed in physical and digital supports to international markets and more than 5.000 animation, video games and new media experts. Among these projects, some of them will be selected to make a presentation by their authors during the 7th edition of 3D Wire.
Besides the online form, you must send a dossier of the project in English together with 2 .jpeg high resolution stills (300dpi) to: firstname.lastname@example.org
